Biography of Jonathan Birchfield

Born and raised in the very place that lives in between, not quite mountain and not yet sand, the foothills of North Carolina, Jonathan Birchfield has had music running through his veins since before he can remember. The traditional music flowed down the streams and rivers of East Tennessee where his heritage is steeped in rich music, Songs played for the queen of England, and preserved in the Smithsonian.

For more than 25 years JB has toured throughout the southeast with this band. He’s been around, From New York, Dallas, Montana, San Fransisco, and Chicago,

His sound is fueled with the funk of Little Feat, the driving country of Zac Brown, the mournful lyrics of John Hiatt and Jackson Browne, the harmonies of CS&N and the Eagles, and rounded out with JBs “rockin’ good time” originals. JB and his band have such a wide variety of music and styles that every ear will be entertained.
